Stogie T Speaks On Why He Didn’t Reply To Big Zulu’s ‘150 Bars’ Diss Track. Big Zulu rocked the SA hip-hop scene in what was arguably the best moment in the game this year. The Imali Eningi hitmaker went in full throttle and dissed all the big-name rappers in his 150 Bars diss tracks.

The likes of Cassper Nyovest, AKA, Stogie T, K.O, Nasty C, Kwesta and Nota Baloyi all caught smoke in a 5-minute bar for bar track. In a bid to settle to score, K.O, Kwesta and Duncan went on and respond to Big Zulu as they meant to prove that they are no pushovers in this game.

With all of the responses aimed at Big Zulu, all eyes were on Stogie T. The veteran rapper is regarded as one of the best lyricists in South African hip-hop, and SA hip-hop followers were waiting to see how he was going to come through.

Speaking to TimesLive, Stogie T opened up on why he did not take the time to reply to Big Zulu’s diss track. “It’s weird, it’s hard to call it a diss track. I battle rap as well. So when you are on that stage you are battle rapping and all the rules go out the window except for [the] physical, don’t hurt anyone. I respect the sport of dissing,” he said.

The veteran rapper further stated that he preferred to focus on what he wanted his legacy to be and the impact he has on emerging artists.

“It’s always through how you give back. I’m always excited about working with people like A-Reece, Touchline. Working with young artists and newer artists like Msaki is a great way to learn and spreading what you’ve learnt … pouring that into people’s cup. I’m a product of people who were generous to me.” He added.

Stogie T is one of the few rappers who are not always on the news, but his recent feature on Touchline Truth’s song “You Found Me This Way,” clearly reminded people what the veteran rapper is made of. Now that the rapper is focusing on working with emerging artists, we should expect to see more of these kinds of features.
