Inside Da L.E.S’s All White Pool Party As North god Pays Tribute To AKA In Style. Last year Da L.E.S and AKA buried their hatchet as they went on to perform Real Stuff at Cotton Fest in honour of Riky Rick.
A year later, Da L.E.S is paying respect to AKA, who was assassinated in Durban. In a video that has been doing the rounds on social media, Da L.E.S can be seen honouring the Supa Mega during his annual All White Pool Party.
The North god acknowledged that last year they hosted the party honouring Riky Rick and this year they will also pay tribute to AKA. “Last year we paid tribute to Riky Rick and it kills me to say that the Supa Mega is watching down on us as an angel,” he said. “I know for a fact that he will live long for all of us.”
In honouring AKA, Da L.E.S along with the guests at the party released white balloons into the air as they honour the Supa Mega and played the song, World Is Yours. “I just wanna release these balloons while we playing one of AKA’s songs, rest in peace my brother Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.
“We love you so much my brother rest in peace. Rest in peace the Supa Mega man I love you dawg, the world is now yours, the heaven is now yours, thank you guys so much for having us.” Da L.E.S echoed.
AKA and Da L.E.S have worked together on a couple of hit songs at the pick of SA hip hop. Songs like Real Stuff, Heaven, and All Eyes On Me will forever be cherished in the SA hip hop hall of fame.
