WATCH! Distraught Nhlanhla Lux Speaks On The Spirit Among SA Rappers Gathered At AKA’s House Former Dudula Operation member Nhlanhla Lux has joined South Africa in mourning the passing away of the SA hip hop star and icon AKA.
In a video shared by the TimesLive, a Soweto-based activist can be seen at AKA‘s homestead expressing how AKA’s passing is a big loss to the entertainment industry. Lux lamented how the country has become a criminal state at the hands of the current leadership.
The activist said that the mourners gathering at AKA’s house are all heartbroken and the hip-hop game has been robbed. “To be honest with you, we are all heartbroken, I went in, to be honest with you the hip hop game has a glitch right now,” he said.
Lux said that rappers at the funeral can’t even communicate too much because of the pain in their hearts following AKA’s tragic passing. “People can’t even string a single sentence together, people are just all broken. But my personal view is that this country called South Africa is not what you all think it is,” he said.
Lux went on and aired his frustrations on how young people are getting killed every day as he cited another tragic passing of DJ Citi Lyts. “Our young are dying, the likes of Citi Lyts are gone, Citi Lyts was shot in front of everyone, where is Citi Lyts now six feet under we forgot about him.
“Its a matter of time, we are going to forget about Kiernan because they are forcing us to normalise the death of young people, like we are being asked to normalise electricity load-shedding and all this nonsense that is happening in our country.” He said. AKA was murdered on Friday night in a shooting at a well-liked club on Florida Road in Durban.
