#JusticeForAKA Gains Momentum As Fans Demand Answers After AKA Murder. It’s now close to a month since AKA was brutally killed in Durban as he was on his way to attend an event. The rapper lost his life in a shooting along with his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
AKA‘s fans and close industry friends have flooded the Twitter timeline with the hashtag #JusticForAKA. The Megacy fanbase has called out the South African Police to get justice for the slain rapper by finding the perpetrators who stole the life of the Supa Mega.
One of the followers said that Mzansi owes it to the rapper to support him in obtaining justice. He argued that AKA was always willing to fight for the rights of young people, as evidenced by the rapper’s presence during the #FeesMustFall protest.
“If this had happened to one of his friends, he’d have caused Mega chaos by now!! Heavy chaos! And knowing him, he’d have been on the streets too. The #FeesMustFall activists know. Wits knows. He was outside when it was time to be outside, not just tweeting. #JusticeForAKA.” Read the tweet.
Taking to Twitter, AKA’s Executive Producer Rich Mahogany also joined the solidarity for AKA to get justice. “Justice 4 Mega!” He tweeted.
Speaking to Newzroom Afrika, KZN Police Commissioner Lt Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi stated that the police are exploring all avenues to apprehend AKA‘s killers. The Commissioner also said that they are going to investigate the slain rapper’s lifestyle and beef in a bid to find leads on who could’ve wanted him dead.
We are bringing any beef he might’ve had with whoever, through social media that we know of public places and conflicts that they might have had,” he said.
“Basically we are looking into his lifestyle, who was his friends, who was he in contact with and who are the people that probably they might have had a conflict with that might have wanted him dead.
“So we’re trying to piece all that together, we’re looking at those that were responsible to organise this trip to come to KZN. Those that were transporting him in places where he visited and everything else that was involved with him prior to his death.”
