With the Forbes family still grieving the passing of a loved one, Uncle Tony Forbes, AKA‘s father admitted that he has been struggling to come to grips with the passing of his son. He further went on to explain his regular appearances at prominent nightclubs, stating that going to places where AKA used to spend his time brings him closer to his late son.

Tony Forbes told TimesLive that it is part of his grieving since he is not someone who can sit at home and cry. “Through what I post on Instagram I hope to bring the good memories and tell the stories, that is the intentional side.

“The unintentional side is I struggle with the loss and I’m not the type of person who can sit at home and cry all day. I cry all day because I miss him so much, but then I go to where he used to work, and I feel closer to him. I’m not saying that is the right way for me to grieve and deal with the loss.” He said.

Recently, AKA‘s father shared a picture of him with his son’s long-time rivalry, Cassper Nyovest. Tony Forbes captioned the picture a humourous message to Cassper challenging him to a boxing match. “Respect…you came in our darkest moment. Thank you. We remember…away from the cameras. God bless.
P.S. When you signing them papers. I told you I will take you
,” wrote Tony Forbes.

AKA’s father also issued an update about the ongoing investigations into the murder of his son. Tony Forbes admitted that the progress has been slow but he stated that he is giving the police their time to do their job in finding justice for his son.

“There are days where one hopes to hear the news that something happened. But we still want to give the process space. We are in touch with investigators and they keep us abreast, it does seem slow, but it’s only [been] six months.” He said as per TimeLives.
