Nasty C & Cassper Confirm They Are Dropping Their Albums On The Same Day. In an unprecedented move that might take the South African music industry by storm, hip-hop heavyweights Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest stated that they might drop their albums on the same day.
Cassper and Nasty C are amongst the SA rappers who will be dropping albums this year. However, they have frustrated the fans with the constant changes in their albums’ release dates. Speaking during an Instagram live session shared on The Hype YouTube channel, the famed rappers shared a sentiment that they might drop their body of work on the same day.
“When did you say your album is dropping again?” Cassper asked Nasty C, In response Nasty C said; “15 September.” The Durban rapper’s response prompted Cassper to clearly believe that two might be dropping on the same day. “I think we might be dropping on the same day,” Cassper said. “That’s awesome, that’s fire,” Nasty C affirmed.
Even though it might be exciting for the two rappers to drop their albums on the same day, Cassper expressed mixed emotions stating that the public will think they planned to release on the same date. “But that would seem like we planned it, that’s crazy. I’m a bit nervous,” Cassper added.
In a bid to neutralise the playground and make Cassper feel a bit comfortable, Nasty C indicated that even though they might appear to be competing their approach to music and the type of sound is different. Hence fans will also love both projects without any comparisons.
“After hearing the stuff that you played me the other day, it’s definitely gonna be like competition, but I dont think our albums will sound similar enough for people to really compare them like that. I think they are gonna enjoy them both thoroughly. Your approach and my approach are very different,” Nasty C said.
